Red and White Kanzashi Headband

Hi friends.  Today I have a pretty red and white woven ribbon headband with a kanzashi ribbon flower to share with you made with pretty ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I have Youtube tutorials to teach you how to make both items that I will share as well at the bottom of this post.
The woven ribbon headband was made using two of the ribbons in the January Ribbon Club Assortment.  It's not too late to grab one of these gorgeous assortments.

Not a member yet?
This pretty assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and trim.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

My kanzashi flower was made with 1-1/2" wide Grosgrain Ribbon in white and red.  The center was finished off with a 12mm Flat Back Pearl.  The woven ribbon headband was created on a 1/2" White Plastic Headband.

Below I will share the video tutorials for each part of the headband shown above.

Fun Birthday Mini Album With Ribbons

Hello, friends, and thanks so much for stopping by today.  It's me, Karen Letchworth, sharing today's inspiration project using lots of my favorite ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create a fun Mini Album.  There are several pages, so let's get started.
The pages were made from large bingo boards that I covered with patterned papers, stickers, buttons, ribbons, photo mats, journalling spots, and pockets for saving photos and memories of this special girl's birthday party.  On the cover, you will see a bow made with 3/4" Orange Chevron Striped TwillGreen Apple Plaid RibbonRed Burlap String and Light Blue Burlap String topped with a pear-shaped safety pin holding a tiny tag stamped with "best wishes".  The front cover is bound with my Zutter Bind-It-All and is tied with lengths of  Plaid Turquoise RibbonRed and White Houndstooth Ribbon3/8" Light Pink Gingham Ribbon3/8" Orange Gingham and Light Blue and Canvas Color Band Ribbon.  There's also a Green Sweetheart Blossom at the bottom left of the cover page next to the date tab from the Mixed Green & White Sweetheart Blossom Collection.
The second page is simple.  It has some patterned paper, stickers for journalling, a cute balloon card and a cute little Decorative Bag for tucking in a gift card or note. There are still a few Decorative Bags available, and they're all on clearance now at low close-out prices.
The third page is another BINGO card for the background, and that's topped with some super cute stickers and journalling spots.  You can see some Red Plaid RibbonRoyal Blue Gingham Ribbon, and 3/8" Yellow Gingham Ribbon peeking through at the top right.
Page four is the back of the previous page, and is covered in a colorful polka dot patterned paper, border stickers, chipboard pieces, a "party" card and journalling stickers all from October Afternoon.
Page number five of the little album is actually a large glassine bag covered with patterned papers, journalling stickers, a chipboard Celebrate sticker, and there's a large photo mat/tag tucked in the glassine bag decorated with Lipstick Red Seam Binding, of  Plaid Turquoise RibbonSolid Yellow Baker's Twine, and topped with a Black Plaid Covered Button.
The other side of the glassine bag (above)is also covered in patterned papers, border stickers, chipboard pieces, sticks, and has a cute vintage card attached with the image of an old-fashioned birthday party.  It's adorable, and the back of it can be used as another photo mat.  It's attached with a miniature clothes pin holding snippets of Burlap Center Stitch Pink and Burlap Center Stitch Green.
This is a peek at the other photo mat/tags (above) that was tucked into the glassine bag.  I also like to add extra photo mats and create pockets and places for storing keepsakes and tucking in little bits and memories.  The Decorative Bags are great for this purpose, and you can get yours on clearance now before they're gone!
The last page of the book is covered in bright patterned paper, and has a cute Party Games card, some chipboard balloons, and  journalling stickers.  I'm hoping this sweet little book will hold lots of great memories from the birthday of the little girl who receives this sweet book to celebrate her birthday.
Finally, the back cover of the Mini Album where you will see lengths of 3/4" Orange Chevron Striped TwillRed and White Houndstooth RibbonEmerald Green Plaid, Swiss Dot Grosgrain on Light Pink RibbonPlaid Ribbon Yellow, and a piece of Plaid Turquoise Ribbon,  There are just SO many fabulous ribbons and Embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon to meet all your crafting needs.  And don't forget to play along in our current challenge taking place now on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.

Blessings,
Karen

Tiny Treats

{judy} Today I want to share a cute little treat bag that can be decorated with all sorts of posy trims and ribbons. I am making twelve of these little bags to deliver as Valentine surprises to some friends.
The little bag is from a kit (Paper Pumpkin from Stampin' Up!), but is easily made. It's a tiny treat bag -- just big enough to hold 3 or 4 Ghirardelli or Dove chocolates! I think it's the perfect size to just let someone know you are thinking of them! I always love fun little treats!

I gathered my supplies, and wanted to make a little bit of of a sweet "bouquet" to dress up the arrow. The bag and banner are adhered with Scor-Tape, and the little heart sentiment with foam tabs.
I chose Light Pink Organza (3/8"), Ivory Burlap String, and a sweet pink Resin Flower, and added three Baby Pink Gypsophila for the flowers. I made a three loop bow with the organza, then tied the string around it and made a single bow.
I used a wood scallop circle (Stampin' Up!) to thread my flowers through, and then added the Resin Flower on top. I hot glued the arrow to the front of the bag, and then my bow trims to the arrow.
It's now ready to fill with some sweet tiny treats! I also tried a different look, and instead of the shredded fill, used a mini clothespin to close the bag. I think I like the white shred better. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by today!

Purple Plaid Ribbon and Purple Roses Birthday Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Are you a fan of plaid/gingham ribbon?  I know I am!  Gingham or plaid ribbon seems to add a touch of sweet country flair to any project.

I love this 5/8" purple plaid ribbon, and tied it into a double layer multi-loop bow.  (Thanks, Bow-it-All Tool!)  To add a little sophistication to this card, I tucked in some loopy string bows tied with silver metallic string.  I adds just the right amount of glam to the bow/flower clusters.

I've added a pair of pockets to the inside of my card and tucked in lots of goodies.

The top pocket holds some ATC cards that I've topped with itty bitty tags.  To hold the tags in place, I looped more of that silver metallic string through some punched holes and tied sweet little bows.

The bottom pocket is larger and holds some pre-designed card fronts that I've matted on cardstock along with another ATC card/tag combo. The papers are all from Heartfelt Creation's Raindrops on Roses paper collection.

Bonnie has gingham/plaid ribbon in a rainbow of colors and a huge selection of widths in the shop.  If you're looking for a way to add country freshness to a card, I highly recommend it!

Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy

Happy Heart Cards

Mid week folks...Cherry here at the RRR blog.  I decided to play around with some of the gorgeous Cherry Blossom flowers that they have to offer.  I created two cards both using the flowers to shape hearts as my main focal point.
This one is done with yellows using some vintage wall paper that I fell in love with.  Interestingly enough, I found it lining an old drawer of a table I was refinishing and painting.   I used white taffeta ribbon  which paired well with the cherry blossoms.
I nestled vintage buttons among the flowers for some old fashion appeal.
This little guy reminds me of my Dad when he was little....so sweet.
Here is my next card all in pinks.  I also nestled Bead berry spray clusters in gold among my flowers with this next card.
I used both baby pink and rose seam binding on this card and also added Theresa white crochet lace at the bottom of my card.

Well my friends ....I am done!  I hope you enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

If you have not tried making a bow with Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon, I encourage you to.  It is a pretty and lightweight ribbon and it works like a dream for bow making.  AND, it really quite inexpensive.  What else could you want in a ribbon?!!

My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using Sherbet and Turftan Brown 5/8" Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Sharing Love and Kisses

Welcome by again today, everyone!  I'm finally caught up on making all my Valentine's Day projects and cards, and Really Reasonable Ribbon helped me create everything I needed for the people I love.   Our family  has always enjoyed exchanging Valentines.  By getting either the monthly Ribbon Club Assortment, ribbons and embellishments (or all of the above) from Really Reasonable Ribbon, you can be certain you'll always have EVERYTHING you need to create cards and projects for Valentine's Day and every other occasion on your list.
My first card was created with several sweet goodies sent to me by a blog friend who sent me a bunch of sweet Valentines embellishments, and I used them to create this card.  The only thing left to do was to pull out my trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon to add a beautiful bow.
I added a bow that includes two length of Lipstick Red Seam Binding, one length of Silver Seam BindingSolid Red Baker's TwinePeppermint Baker's Twine, and Black Licorice Baker's Twine.  I placed a sweet 14mm White Flower Shaped Flatback Round Pearl in the center of my bow.
My second card is very simple.  I used two patterned papers, and the top one was punched with a heart-shaped border punch.  I placed a length of Lipstick Red Seam Binding underneath the heart cut-outs to make them more noticeable.  At the bottom of my card, I added a BIG bow that's made with the gorgeous 1 1/2" Red Gingham Ribbon.
I added a die-cut word (love), and placed a sweet 14mm White Flower Shaped Flatback Round Pearl in the center of the "O" in love.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many fabulous Embellishments in addition to all the wonderful Mulberry Flowers, ribbons, trims and more.  Today is a great day to do some shopping and treat yourself to some fabulous new products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Don't forget about the fun challenge taking place on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.  We look forward to seeing all your fabulous ribbon-topped cards and projects.
